I know I say this a lot, but last week may honestly go down as one of the biggest weeks in AI yet.
OpenAI finally released GPT-5.6 and introduced ChatGPT Work, a new feature that lets ChatGPT go beyond answering questions and actually help you complete real work across documents, spreadsheets, presentations, apps, and more. ChatGPT did not just get smarter. It is starting to look like an actual coworker.
And as I was finishing this newsletter, Anthropic announced that it is extending Fable 5 access again, this time through July 19. I was ready to tell you that your time to play with Fable 5 was almost up, but after the week ChatGPT just had, Claude apparently decided it was not ready to leave the stage. The timing is hard to ignore.
I also have a new prompt of the week that will help you audit one of your business workflows, find the best AI opportunity, and avoid wasting time automating the wrong thing.

Review one workflow at a time.
First, interview me to understand exactly how the workflow works, including the steps, tools, people involved, time required, bottlenecks, and risks.
Then:
Break it into core steps.
Label each step Human-only, AI-assisted, or AI-owned.
Briefly explain each label.
Identify the highest-ROI automation opportunity.
Flag overengineering, low-value automations, meeting-summary traps, or “rebuild Calendly for $9/month” mistakes.
Recommend one narrow AI workflow I can test this week, including the setup, tools, human review point, and success metric.
Do not recommend AI where a simpler process change, delegation, or existing tool would work better.
